Dear ASJA Community,

We extend a warm welcome to all new and returning students and families to what will be an amazing 2024-2025 school year.

The Academy at St. Joan of Arc has a proud tradition of parent involvement which is strengthened by the school’s Parent Volunteer Community (PVC). The PVC aims to create a nurturing and supportive school environment through community engagement and active parent participation. Additionally, fundraising is a key objective. This year PVC has pledged to raise $175,000 for the school through events like the Gala and Fun Run. The funds will support operational costs and improve curriculum, facilities, and equipment while keeping tuition prices accessible and tuition assistance widely available.

Beyond fundraising, we organize special events such as Grandest Person Day, faculty appreciation luncheons, and the festive Turkey Trot. With our dedicated volunteers, we strive to bring joy to students and the community through activities like Service Week, Scholastic Book Fair, and Dine Out Nights.

Monthly PVC meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of each month, starting next week on September 11 in the school cafeteria at 7pm. We will have a mix of in-person and Zoom meetings so you will have the opportunity to attend what is right for you. The meetings offer a chance to discuss upcoming events, review past activities, and brainstorm ways to support the school community. Stay informed about our events and meetings through the school's Wednesday Round Up and monthly communications from room parents.

The success of the PVC relies on the invaluable support of our volunteers. Whether assisting in classrooms, event planning, or participating in programs, your contribution is truly valued. Explore volunteer opportunities for this year's events and feel free to reach out to us for guidance or questions at volunteer@theacademysja.org.

Thank you for your commitment and for being an integral part of our school community. We look forward to partnering with all of you to make the 2024-2025 school year a success and can't wait to meet the many new faces at The Academy.

With gratitude,
